A pattern for the standard split-crotch drawers with a drawstring waist band but an optional fitted waistband can be attached or the crotch seam can be closed.  The drawers are worn under everything else so the split-crotch makes going to the "necessary" a whole lot easier.

         The pattern includes instructions for pin-tucks and lace or a hand-made lace edging if desired. A special feature of the pattern is the method of sewing pin-tucks, which keeps both sides symmetrical. 

Sizing:

This pattern is available in two size groups.  Please compare your hip measurement to the chart below to decide your pattern choice.  You will want to make your drawers roomy as this allows for overlapping at the crotch and back, which makes them quite draft-free.

Ladies Sizes:  2 yards of 45” wide cotton

Plus Sizes:  2 1/2 yards of 45” wide cotton

Grosgrain ribbon or twill tape for drawstring—2 1/2 times your waist measurement
