A good basic skirt. The pie-shaped gores reduce the amount of fabric at the waistline, making this an excellent choice for those with tiny waists, and those who do not want a lot of fabric at the waist. This skirt works well for all styles of outfits from work dresses to ball gowns, simply by adjusting the number of gores used. It can be either gathered or pleated onto the single opening waistband. Instructions and information is given for both methods as well as for different hem choices and an optional ruffle (flounce). This pattern does not require as much fabric as the standard or gauged skirt, and works well with any of the bodice patterns. Timeless Stitches TSS-207 Scalloped Overskirt is a companion pattern and together these make a wonderful ball gown skirt combination.
