Overskirts can be worn with many styles of gowns from fancier day dresses to ball gowns. The overskirt can also be used to extend the life and look of a current outfit or to hide a tear or stain in an otherwise perfect garment. It is designed to complement any of the skirt patterns, but works extremely well with Timeless Stitches TSS- 203 Gored Skirt pattern. Like the gored skirt, this pattern also uses pie-shaped panels, to reduce the amount of fabric around the waist. The skirt is designed so that the scallops can be “pulled” in many different combinations, each changing the look of the skirt and allowing you to untie the pulls and lay the skirt flat for laundering. Instructions are included for optional ruffles and hem treatments to add design features to the skirt.
