Civil War era historically correct day dress.

This outfit consists of 2 pieces and made of 100% cotton reproduction fabric by Windham Fabrics called Paradise Garden circa 1800. The two shades of pink on this fabric puts it into the category of “double pinks.”

The fitted bodice closes in the front with 7 self-fabric covered buttons.  The bodice is fully lined and is self-piped around the armholes, neckline and waist edge.  The pagoda sleeves are lined and edged with 100% cotton lace.  The bodice is trimmed with 100% cotton lace. A rounded peplum is attached to the bodice flowing around the sides and back.

The skirt is a double opening skirt, which like the name suggests has two openings which allows for waistline changes.  The skirt is box-pleated onto the waistband and has a 3 inch hem.

The outfit measures:  36” Bust and 34” waist but with the double opening can be easily adjusted up to 4 inches.  The skirt is 40” long and the bottom is 172” in circumference.   Not your size!  We can make a similar styled outfit in your choice of fabrics to your measurements.  Please contact us.

This outfit would be appropriate for Civil War reenactments as well as other mid 1800’s events such as Dickens or Christmas Fairs or fancier wagon train (Prairie) evenings.  It would also be a good outfit for historical sites.

The outfit is shown over a 6 boned flounced hoopskirt which is NOT included with the outfit. It is suggested that a collar and undersleeves be worn with this outfit.   The undersleeves and collar can be purchased separately at these links:
