This pattern is for Drawers or pantalettes as they were called.
This pattern is for a split -crotch but the seam can be closed if you
choose. As the drawers are worn
under every thing else, the split-crotch makes going to the
"necessary" a whole lot easier.
The pattern includes instructions for pintucks and lace.
A pattern for a hand made lace edging is included.
A special feature of the pattern is its' method of sewing pintucks, which
keeps both sides symmetrical. The
pattern is for a drawstring waistband but optional fitted band instructions are
included.
Sizing:
You will want to maker your pantalettes roomy as this allows for overlapping at the crotch and back, which makes them
quite draft-free. Pantalettes were worn to just below the knee.
