This pattern is for a knee-length chemise with short sleeves, adapted from one published in Peterson’s Ladies Magazine in 1860. The chemise was worn next to the skin and protected your clothing from perspiration and body odors.  

         This chemise has a formed yoke in the front and a straight yoke across the back, making the garment very comfortable to wear. Included are many different trim ideas from simple pin-tucks to laces and ribbon combinations. 

Sizing:

This pattern is available in two size groups.  Please compare your bust and hip measurement to the chart below to decide your pattern choice. The back is a measured yoke, so the smaller sizes are accommodated by the adjustment in gathers.
