This skirt can be used for everything from a camp skirt to a ball gown bottom. The skirt is designed to be pleated in the front and gauged in the back. Gauging (Cartridge pleating) was one of the methods used to gather the fabric into the waistband. The waistband utilizes two openings which makes the skirt adjustable for waistline changes.
