Sizing:
Children grow rapidly at this age. It is suggested that you plan for this growth by allowing extra length in both the sleeves and the hem. The style of this dress allows for a large amount of growth through the body, before it becomes too tight. Many period photographs show children dressed in clothing too big or too small for them. It was also a fact of life that clothing was handed down from child to child. Do not be afraid to make this garment with plenty of room for growth! Pattern includes sizes for Infant (½T), 1T, 2T and 4T.
TSA-530 Toddler Pinafore is the perfect companion pattern for this dress.
Make a diaper cover in the same fabric as a perfect way to complete your outfit and give you a period way to cover a modern disposable diaper. TSU-068 Pilcher/ Diaper Cover works well.
