Hairnet Color

This lightweight hairnet is embellished with a teal/ black changeable folded ribbon beaded with black beads and finished with bows on each side. This folded ribbon has been attached to a ribbon encased headband that hold the lightweight hairnet. This allows you to easily put your net on and the band prevents the net from slipping all over your head. We offer three color options for the fine hairnets: Blonde, Brown and Black. These are NOT the "lunch lady" thicker hairnets but the fine, lightweight style worn during the Era.

Nets were worn by all social classes and all ages. These fine nets were worn over your styled hair to keep it in place and tidy. They were worn by all social classes and all ages. Victorian era women were very concerned about their appearance and neatly arranged and covered hair was very much a part of their daily routine.

I have included period photos and magazine items in the listings for your information. Nets were popular during the mid-century and came in many forms and materials. If you are looking for a thicker ribbon style hairnet, please check out our other listings.
