The slit in the center of the necktie allows you to insert one tail through so that the necktie does not come loose. The pattern is loosely based on the Neck-tie pattern published in Godey’s Lady’s Book, October 1861. While the original pattern came from the 1860's I often use mine as a modern scarf. I love the way the slit allows the necktie to be held against the neck and keeps the necktie in place.
The necktie measures 48 inches in length and width is about 5 inches. It is made out of acrylic yarn in Seahawks and Sounders colors. Style A is Two-toned with the green as the dominant color. Style B is blue with a single round of the green. For CUSTOM ORDERS please state desired colors in the comments section when placing order.
