This pretty pinafore and bonnet combination is suitable for living history reenactors from 1840 and forward, as well as Dicken's Fairs, school days, wagon trains, pioneer days and other historical themed events. It is the perfect way to take a dress and create the illusion of historical clothing.
Our two piece accessory set includes a simple smock style pinafore, worn throughout the 1800’s. The pinafore fastens at the back with wooden buttons. Our matching poke bonnet features an adjustable back so that it will fit most head sizes and grow with the child. The brim is filled and quilted with a felt insert, so that it will stay stiff and not droop in the rain. The back of the bonnet has a curtain to protect the neck from sunburn. The pinafore and bonnet are made from 100% cotton so they can be machine washed in cold water. Properly taken care of these items should provide you with many years of use.
