A Great Basic Skirt. The pie-shaped gores reduce the amount of fabric at the waistline, making this an excellent choice for those with tiny waists, and those who do not want a lot of fabric at the waist. This skirt works well for all styles of outfits from work dresses to ball gowns, simply by adjusting the number of gores used. It can be either gathered or pleated onto the single opening waistband. Instructions and information given for both methods as well as for different hem choices and an optional ruffle (flounce). The pattern does not require as much fabric as the standard or gauged skirt. The skirt can be used for outfits during most of the 1800's.  If you desire a petticoat with a fitted waistband, this skirt works well and will save you the cost of buying a petticoat pattern.

This pattern works great with any of the Timeless Stitches Bodice Patterns. TSS-207 Scalloped Overskirt is a versatile companion to the Timeless Stitches TSS-203 Gored Skirt Sewing Pattern, perfect for completing a stunning ball gown look.
