Something for the gentlemen!
This crocheted version of a smoking or lounging cap is perfect as a camp hat, a smoking or evening wear cap for a distinguished Victorian Gentlemen, or a sleeping cap to keep your head warm on those chill nights. The cap is made of a soft blended fiber in silver grey with black, white and grey stripes and black tassel finished with button. The cap measures 8 1/2 inches across the top and the band is inches 23 in circumference. The crochet stitch allows some flexibility in sizing.
The inspiration for the cap came from the CDV shown and the graphic published in Peterson's Magazine. This cap can be used for any Era from the 1800's up to modern day. Civil war soldiers will enjoy the cap for daily camp wear or as a sleeping cap.
