Patriotic Colored - Red, White and Blue This crocheted version of a Scotch Tam is perfect as a camp hat, a smoking cap for an extinguished Victorian Gentlemen, or a sleeping cap to keep your head warm on those chill nights. The cap is made of a soft blended fiber in Patriotic Navy blue with red and white accents. The cap measures 11 inches across the top and the band is 23 inches, with a simple drawstring to adjust. The crochet stitch allows some extra flexibility in sizing.
The inspiration for the cap came from the CDV shown. This cap can be used for any Era from the 1800's up to modern day. Civil war soldiers will enjoy the cap for daily camp wear or as a sleeping cap.
