TSO-404 Simple Mantle Sewing Pattern, Mantle, Cape, Capelet
Mantles are perfect for those cooler days and evenings, when a full cloak or cape is not required. The cut of the mantle allows the arms to remain free, while keeping the body warm, so it is great for outside work or cooking duties. The warmth of this garment will depend on your choice of materials: Wools, heavy cottons and flannels work well. This garment could also be made out of a very lightweight fabric and used on warmer summer days.
TSO - 404 Simple Mantle Pattern is for either a lined or an unlined mantle. This garment can be made using many trim options including ruffles, fringe, and braid or left plain. Hints and instructions for these trim ideas are included as well as several closure methods.
