TSA-555 Soft Wool Bonnet (Hood) Sewing Pattern, 19th Century Headwear
This hood is a great addition to your foul weather wardrobe. It works wonderfully well as a compliment to any outer garment that does not have an attached hood. TSA-555 Soft Wool Bonnet Pattern Booklet is for a wool bonnet/hood shaped much like the bonnets of the 1860’s. It has a short 2 1/2” bavolet at the back and with its quilted lining the bonnet will not sag in the rain. AND they fold flat for packing and storage. Ideas are included for different trims. The hood is sized for most women and does fit girls from about the age of 10. The style is suitable for the late 1840’s thru the turn of the century, depending on your desired portrayal, and besides reenacting events would work great for Caroling and Dickens Fairs.
