This pretty apron and bonnet combination is suitable for most Victorian Era events. It is the perfect way to take a dress and create the illusion of historical clothing or to add a second apron and bonnet to a current wardrobe.
Our two-piece accessory set includes a simple apron with a large patch pocket. The apron is gathered into the waistband and has long ties for a nice bow in the back. The lower edge of the apron is finished with an edge of eyelet lace. Our poke bonnet features eyelet lace around the brim and an adjustable back so that it will fit most head sizes and grow with the child. The brim is filled and quilted with a felt insert, so that it will stay stiff and not droop in the rain. The back of the bonnet has a curtain to protect the neck from sunburn. The apron and bonnet are made from 100% white cotton muslin so they can be machine washed and bleached if necessary. Properly taken care of, these items should provide you with many years of use.
I currently offer this set in 3 sizes: Ideally the apron should be 3 -5 inches shorter than the dress it is covering. Small (4/5) with a apron length of 12 inches Medium (6/8) with an apron length of 15 inches Large (10/12) with an apron length of 17 inches
These accessories are suitable for living history reenactors from 1840 and forward, as well as Dicken's Fairs, wagon trains, pioneer days and other historical themed events.
